A Hyperlinker’s Guide to the Internet

Greetings and welcome to the Hyperlinker’s Guide to the Internet. The Internet, for those not in the know, is a vast series of tubes in which many people dump their free time. While the portals into the internet are rather small, the Internet itself is surprisingly large; host to a surprising array of flora, fauna, and pornography. In the past decade civil society has colonized the internet, creating footholds, camps, and even walled cities from which civilized man may explore the wilderness. These places have become so safe that it is easy to forget that wild, strange, and unpredictable creatures still roam the Internet. And, tragic as it is, many people now wander through the Internet without understanding the creatures around them.
